Doug Pielet, Director of Tennis

Doug is a member of the United States Tennis Professionals Association with a Professional-1 rating, which he has maintained since 1992. His career as a player, teaching professional and tennis director has spanned more than four decades. He was a nationally ranked junior player, a member of the National Junior Davis Cup Team and attended the University of Texas at Austin on a full-tennis scholarship. He played on the ATP tour and in tournaments in Europe, Australia, and South America. As a teaching professional, Doug produced ranked junior players, national junior champions and many college scholarship athletes. Along with his junior player development, Doug has produced many adult teams that have won state, sectionals and one senior team that qualified for nationals. He has also developed USTA sanctioned programs and tournaments.

Juan Gomez, Head Tennis Professional

Born in Aguascalientes, Mexico, Juan has been teaching tennis for over 25 years. Having obtained the prestigious level of USPTA P1, he has worked for the USTA as Community Service Coordinator, as well as having been Director of Tennis at both the Santa Teresa Country Club and the El Paso Youth Tennis Center and Assistant Director of Tennis at Tennis West and the El Paso Tennis Club. Juan has two children: son MiCarlo plays tennis at Coronado High School and daughter Alehanna plays tennis at the University of Texas Permian Basin.
